Some may think of it as overcrowded while others still consider it dangerous. But Mexico City has been enjoying a drastic upturn with it’s reputation over the last decade. The city has worked hard to shed that image, and illustrate a real destination that’s family friendly too. Here are a few reasons why you should consider going to visit Mexico City now.
If you’re on a group vacation, theme parks might be the activity for you. Six Flags parks are an option in Mexico City too. If you want to get further out the city, the less known Rancho Magico is another option. Thirty minutes outside the city, it offers zip lining, rock climbing and other outdoor activities.
Family friendly and inspiring sights
Mexico City has had a surge in family friendly tourism over the last decade or so. Mostly that’s due to new restaurants, and appealing accommodations, including the Courtyard Mexico City Vallejo. The city is still home to crowds of locals and tourists, but places like Via Vallejo Park Mall and Basilica of Guadalupe are much more accessible and also now open to the public. Visit Mexico city, and you’ll see some weird, and wonderful sights.
One of the more recent additions is the new aquarium. Acuario Inbursa is an entirely subterranean aquarium under the streets of Mexico City that gives viewers the chance to get close to various exotic marine creatures including sharks. Lighting and visuals create an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re at the bottom of a seafloor. Tropical reefs, beach ecosystems, and even Amazon River habitats truly flesh out the experience.
A gorgeous and green retreat
If you’re an avid park goer, you may want to check out the Bosque de Chapultepec. Mexico City’s state park actually doubles Central Park in size. Much like Central Park, this one boasts lush spots, great walking options, and the same discretion when enjoying at night.
