How to Turn Morning Coffee into an Afternoon Frappe Delight

As huge of a coffee addict as I am; I’ve tried going under 3 to 4 cups a day, but I can’t do it, I always seem to find the same thing at the end of my morning coffee. A coffee pot with enough coffee leftover for a full cup. Certain things in life are just routine, no matter who you are, and in our house, one of those routines is our morning coffee. Of course, he wasn’t always like that. When we first started living together, I had to run downstairs to the grocery store attached to his high rise building every single morning to get my daily fix. That ended quickly when I came home one night, new coffee maker in hand. Now, back on the east side, we have a much bigger kitchen, and we’ve upgraded our coffee maker.

Coffee is a huge part of my life, and yet, still, that 1 cup always remains, lingering at the bottom of my coffee pot. I don’t know whether it’s my frustration at wasting it, or the simple fact I just want more, but I’ve started repurposing my morning coffee. And the results are satisfyingly delicious. It’s incredibly simple; all you need is a lot of ice, some milk, whatever kind you like, and a blender. Then blend everything, and voila! Instant frozen frapuccino to satisfy any mid day slump. And the best part of all, it’s easier and more affordable then that other ritual. The insert local coffee shop coffee run.
