Tulle Skirt of the Trade

Several years ago, when I was a very different person during a very different time, my signature look consisted of one main item; a tulle skirt. Every weekend consisted of dinners out, partying till 4 am, and a uniform of a tank top, wife beater variety, and a tulle skirt of some version or another. I remember having a short, black one, and a midi white one a la Carrie Bradshaw, way before her white tulle ever became fashion icon material. I also had a light green one, that I remember wearing quite often during the height of partying stage. Cut to now. Every single tulle skirt still hangs in my closet, but I haven’t put them on in years. I don’t know if it’s that my evenings have changed so much, or my style has, or both. But, every once in a while, it’s fun to go back in time and revisit that old kit of your social life’s past and see what remains. The tools of the trade may not work the same, but they’re still fun to play with.
