There’s a million and one things all aimed at bettering ourselves. Companies that promise us a flatter stomach, tighter abs, better skin, less wrinkles, you name it. All in the name of either looking better, feeling younger, or retaining our youth. And no matter how hard we all work, play, and perfect our daily skin regimes, one thing we’ll never be able to stop is that which is most elusive of all; time. But though we may not be able to stop time, we can certainly mask its appearance. I recently learned all about the roC brand anti aging products and wrinkle cremes which have worked hard to master exactly that.
Last week I attended a terrific event at the flagship Duane Reade downtown, where I learned about all the amazing products Roc has to offer and which ones are best suited for me, along with some insider skincare tips. Renowned dermatologist Dr. Debra Jaliman walked us all through the aisle, explaining all the benefits to the variety of items, from wrinkle creme, to retinol, and even sat down for a Q&A to answer all our pressing questions.
Not only did I walk away with a newfound respect and knowledge of treating my skin properly, I was gifted all the tools to utilize for my new skin regime. I admit to, in the past, having a very lackadaisical approach to my skin. Of course I wash, and moisturize every morning and night, but I don’t always wear spf, and was certainly a novice regarding anti aging and retinol products. Now, however, I am armed with a whole new understanding, and a solid foundation on which to build a life long skincare routine.#Eyes4NYC Walking the roC brand aisle and learning about wrinkle creams, anti aging and retinol
An intimate Q & A with dermatologist Dr. Deborah Jaliman, and Senior Research & Development Director from Johnson & Johnson, Anna Prilutsky
Not only did I learn what retinol is, which I surprisingly didn’t even know, I found out simple, yet important steps to take to protect my skin and face. You only have one, so be good to it.
Retinol, which is a component of vitamin A, is not simply a good tool to use for moisturizer. It’s anti-aging and does not help to just repair skin, but also restore it. And as the Dr said, which stuck with me, “Two things you should never skimp on are sunscreen, and retinol.”
Forget American Express. Don’t leave home without roC 5 in 1 Multi correction eye cream! It’s now a mainstay in my bag.
