Favorite ice cream gem Amorino opened up a brand new spot on the Upper West Side recently, and with July being National Ice Cream Month, it seemed fitting to continue celebrating. Not only did they unveil the new uptown location, now the 4th in NYC, but a brand new Insta worthy treat, the Macarose.
A play off their popular gelato known for it’s perfect presentation; layers of petaled roses atop a cone, this brings a new twist to their trademark item. Working off the food hybrid trend, proving to be more of a movement, than a fast trend, the Macarose is a mix of Amorino’s famous gelato in that famous flower, with an addition; a macaron right on top.
You can get creative with the treat too, in fact, it’s encouraged. Think of yourself as an artist creating a piece of food art. Art that you will of course, soon consume. You can choose from over 23 varied gelato flavors and 8 kinds of colorful macarons that include coffee, chocolate, mango and pistachio. Mix and match to design your perfect piece. It’s guaranteed to not just look gorgeous, but hit the sweet spot.
