I’m a creature of habit. Sometimes I wish I could break certain patterns, but lets face it, we’re all creatures of habit. And yet, having the new Nokia Lumia 635 in my life recently has been a change I’ve welcomed with open arms. With the #LumiaSwitch, I’m learning how to implement my new phone into my daily routine. Everything from making my typical notes, to adding calendar dates. But one of the biggest changes was relying on someone else to do some work for me. When began familiarizing myself with Cortana, the app on the Lumia that supposedly makes life easier; I was a bit incredulous to it’s effectiveness. That was before we got to know eachother. Easier then sending a text without auto correct, the app is built to help you with literally everything, from providing you with your morning news, to setting up reminders and even telling you where to eat for dinner. It’s a lot like that other unnamed phone assistant who does what you ask of her, but without all that diva attitude.

Since making the Lumia switch, I’ve found a lot of new ways to enjoy my new Nokia in my every day life. I can also use it to set weekly reminders for work deadlines, and cant miss events.
When planning our date night last week, I decided why not do something most New Yorkers never do; ask for help. We were in the mood for Greek food so I typed in, “Where can we eat Greek for dinner locally?” As she worked, and spun her web of ideas, I picked out my outfit for the evening. It’s still to cold for peep toes, but what can I say – My phone, my new assistant, and the warmer weather in the air had me a little extra excited!
I can’t wait to see in what ways she changes my routine next!
