Wooden Platforms trend
Since the 1970’s, after a very long hiatus fashion wise, have officially made a huge comeback this Spring, and fashion icons from the decade are inspiring fashion everywhere, it’s only fitting that the footwear follow suit as well.
That chunky wooden platform has returned; Think Dr Scholls, but cooler and higher, and the styles range from Clog (my least favorite), to wedge, (My most favorite), and even an occasionally wooden stiletto.
The look has versatility as you can dress these up with a floral printed dress, or play it down, with boyfriend jeans and a simple, C & C t-shirt. Comfortable and chic all in one.
Some top designers are doing this trend currently, but you can also find them at a range of places at different price points, courtesy of Steve Madden, Nine West, Mia, and many more.
Just knock on wood that their popularity sticks around through summer….
