One of the best ways to showcase your creativity, and your ability to produce affordable style for yourself can sometimes solely depend on one thing; the process of reinvention.
In an society where times are tough, pockets are tight, and yet fashionistas worldwide still crave the new and exciting, one must have smaller appetites and larger minds. The ability to transform one piece over and over again, and make something you already have new and exciting. There are many ways to accomplish this with an article of clothing, but how can you do it with bags, and shoes, which already can be expensive depending on your taste level.
The answer is an accessory that I’ve been rocking for years. I used to scour Ebay, and thrift stores for vintage ones; jewled ones, bows, and now, in appropriate “fashion”, as everything finds it’s platform eventually, shoe clips have hit the mainstream. You know you’re in trouble, or in luck, when H&M has begun proudly displaying a trend you love. And I felt the first emotion when I found a huge display of shoe clips in the store the other day.
But whether you hit the basics at H&M, bid on some on Ebay, or dig through the abundance on Etsy, there is seemingly a shoe clip for every style. Throw a rhinestone pair on to reinvent a pair of basic black heels, or jazz up a pair of flats with a flat accent bow. Sometimes, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. And that goes for fashion too.
