Another Oscars has come and gone, and soon after this week, we won’t remember what people wore, who won, or how NPH really did. What we WILL remember is if we enjoyed our evening, or went to a good party. I hosted my annual shindig, which I take pretty seriously. This year was organizationally, my best one yet! I was quite proud of some pinterest-worthy settings right down to Oscar labeled mason jars, and gifts galore. But the best part was getting to work with my favorite girls again; Skinnygirl cocktails, to play with a variety of fun flavors and drinks for the evening!
I recently became obsessed with the new spicy lime margarita when I attended the launch with Bethenny, earlier this month. At the Oscars on Sunday, my guests were treated to all kinds of delicious Skinnygirl options. From various white wines, to ready to serve cocktails like white cranberry cosmo, and sweetarita (a sweet twist on the famed original recipe), to the brand new pinot noir, there was literally something for everyone’s fancy!
With such a diverse variety, it was hard to choose, so I laid out 3 main Oscar drinks. Each perfect for all different kinds of friends and drinkers to enjoy at the party, and all equally delicious!
After this week, we might not remember who won most of those coveted gold men, and we’ll have to wait another whole year for the next awards. But this city Skinnygirl will keep going for gold all year long, with a lot of tastiness along the way.
For the Winos: Skinnygirl Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and the new classic Pinot noir.
For the southern girl at heart, and my personal favorite party drink of choice: Skinnygirl Bare Naked vodka with Arizona Oak Brewed tea and lemonade for an yummy, Arnold Palmer.
Sweets for the Sweet with a Twist: White Cranberry Cosmo and The Skinnygirl Sweetarita; a new, slightly sweeter take on the original recipe. Made with blue Agave Silver Tequila, it’s a mix of sweet and citrusy, all in a low cal margarita. Add a slice of lime, and some salt, and it’s pure heaven in a glass!
Stay tuned for more in the Skinnygirl in the City Series this Spring!
