During the fall season, we make many transformations. School is back in session. The nonchalant summer wanes, and the busy, fleeting fall months return. Also bringing all the big holidays that signify the end of the year approaching. One of the less dramatic, but to many, still important changes we make is in our homes. September marks the time to put up new decor and replace summer scents with apples and pumpkins. Though predominantly known as the mecca for all things renovations, and DIY home, the massive Home Depot decor section is worth shopping too.

The Home Depot decor department includes everything for the home. From bedding, to furniture, kitchenware and fun decor.
This fall, I’m giving my apartment living space a little seasonal refresh as well.
Swapping out the clunky coffee table for a new one. Which, if I can keep it clean, needs a little centerpiece. Putting curtains on the bare windows. Doing a little paint touch up where needed. And of course, updating the room for my favorite months, October and November. Whether that means some candles, pillows, or a new faux plant.
Sometimes, a simple update is all your room needs to look like a fresh, new space. And with today officially being the Fall Equinox, there’s no better time to clear out the old.
A new comforter for cooler months.
I’ve been wanting a Company Store comforter for a long time. They’re expensive on the site, but Home Depot is having a sale that makes this down comforter over $100 off. Just in time for chiller New York City nights.

On top of other sales throughout the site, the Home Depot decor section is also 15% off during the store’s “Decor Days”.
The promotion goes through till the end of the month on 9/29. Though some restrictions apply, you’ll find an array of functional home items discounted throughout the department’s three collections. Cottage Core, Rooted in Nature and Sanctuary Retreat.
I especially love this leaf embossed round tray. I’m trying to give my living room a more grownup look, and this might be just the trick.

Once you have the tray, you need something to put in it. This fall, faux greenery is a big home trend. And
This pair of little succulents in wood planters is both cute, and effortless.

If the succulents trend isn’t your thing, there are other, more classic looking centerpieces. Like this silk hydrangea flower arrangement. A perfect addition to a coffee table, or as shown below, to decorate a shelf.
A great way to spruce up a comfy space is adding an accent pillow with a pop of color. This cinnamon orange one is perfectly appropriate for the fall season. And included in the 15% promotion as well.
In addition to the promotion, Home Depot is currently running a fall giveaway to win a $250 e-gift card. Enter now to have the store fund your fall room makeover! See details below.
