As a writer, blogger, and jewelry designer, I am constantly going back and forth between writing, and designing new items for my line. Because of my other business, and passion for it, I am always on the lookout for the latest jewelry trends, and much of that comes from amazing designers and small businesses making their own things. The other day, walking through Williamsburg, Brooklyn I came upon a street vendor, (Not that this is hard to do, they’re scattered all throughout the main streets), and although jewelry vendors are not rare here, I loved these particular hamsa bracelets she had. Clearly handmade, they looped a big hamsa charm through colored thick ribbon, braided with metal closures. Sometimes the accessories that have the most affect on us are the ones made with love. In that vein, I’m excited to share the Consumer Crafts Jewelry E-book , which features 9 DIY jewelry projects. Not only do they come with full instructions and ideas, the content is varied, from fun, gold dipped tassel earrings to horseshoe charm dainty necklaces.
