I have always been a huge proponent of matching things when it comes to your style, especially in the last several years. I’ve even gone as far as to match my daily planner to my shirt, my nail polish to my clutch, or even eye makeup to my shoes. So, when I attended the Timex fall 15 preview last week, I was immediately captivated by the idea of matching the new watch collection to various deliciously made, corresponding cocktails. Held at the Flatiron Lounge, in the heart of the Flat Iron of NYC, the mood had a vintage feel, and the accessories, displayed with their concocted counterparts, revealed a new, fashion forward side of the brand to look forward to this fall.
The fall collection, which boasts an assemblage of leopard, tartan, stripes, and other patterned bands, each embodies not only a specific style, and attitude, but a cocktail to match.

The Reversible Weekender Collection
There was a brief time when I had the nickname, Taz; short for Tazmanian devil. So maybe it was only fitting that my favorite drink and accessory of the night was the Wildcat, from the Animal Instincts collection. I’ve been on a major spicy kick with my cocktails, ever since I became recently obsessed with Skinnygirl spicy lime margarita. And the Wildcat on the Rocks, not for the novice mixologist mixes red pepper infused snow leopard vodka with my absolute favorite elderflower. My enjoyment of several of these cocktails in a short span was noticed by one of the bartenders who asked me, “so you like that drink?”, and then promptly told me he had created it. Shortly after, I made my way home, buzzing about all the fun, new watches from Timex, and feeling a little something else from all the extra stylish drinks that went with them. Now that is what I call some buzz-worthy accessories.
