When Birchbox—the of-the-month club for the beauty-obsessed—teamed up with Gossip Girl for a shipment of products themed after the show, I thought it was cool. Then they teamed up with GOOP for a Gwyneth-approved package, and I really started to think these one-off projects were heading somewhere interesting. But they’ve raised my expectations once more via their latest collaboration: a box which doesn’t have a single beauty product in it.
Instead, Birchbox’s latest limited edition box is full of home and lifestyle items like kitchen gear, paper goods and decorative accessories. Birchbox members who are strictly beauty people need not buy it if they don’t want it, but we think they would. For $58, it’s full of goodies from our favorite labels like Jonathan Adler, Dean & DeLuca and C. Wonder, so it’d be pretty hard not to like.
