Maybe I was blinded by all the brights I was looking at, or maybe it’s just because it’s 2 pm and almost dark outside, but I continue to be enticed by the bright colors that will be popping up in stores everywhere in the next few months.
The pantone color of the year is honey suckle, and I for one, have always had a fondness for oranges and pinks, which is partly why my favorite dress at the Sag Awards was newcomer, Hailee Steinfeld, in a Prada dress that not only looked and fit beautifully, but was one of the few dresses, that I think shows real wearability and in spite of it’s trendy vibrant colors, real staying power.
I love the Prada Spring ’11 collection, bursting with all that color that I highlighted in my last post. This dress is a major “wish”, and I stress the ‘wishful thinking’ part of that, since my wallet might not agree. They haven’t come out with a “replica” or similar style, so don’t go running into Forever 21 Just yet. But don’t get blind-sided…I did find some amazing dresses that really fit the bill, and at these prices, you can afford to work the trend more than once
Before the Sag awards aired, I did manage to score myself a major piece for spring while partaking in one of my most favorite activities- Saturday thrift shopping- It only took 10 minutes for me to find the bright fuchsia, vintage Emanuel Ungaro, on sale for $ 20, so I snagged it up quickly along with a few $ 1 housewares. This is one piece I am I just so tickled pink about….
Bee Chic this spring with dark pink skinny jeans… you can buy the LEI ones featured here for only $15.00 – Just shoot me a comment and tell me you want them
