During the week we’re running around like busy bees but weekends call for lazy time, and sometimes even breakfast in bed. When bedface asked me to try out their bedding and challenge it to exactly that, I decided to take them up on the offer and see if they held up to the test. One homemade blueberry buttermilk cake, a full belly, and many crumbs later it seemed a little face time with bedface was a very good morning indeed.
Of course, eating blueberry buttermilk cake, while delicious, is far from the most important thing you’ll do in your bed. Where we lay our head at night is one of the most important things we’ll do all day, so it’s as equally important to make sure it feels comfortable, happy, and a little zen.
Bedface sheets are designed with several important details aimed at achieving those emotions. First, they’re designed with their own facetech™ cotton which regulates temperature while you sleep. This is a big one in our house. The cotton is woven with thick yarns, that make it extra breathable, and durable, but also slightly thicker than the typical bedding. This may be a little daunting at first, only because anything different than the normal always is, but I promise, patience is key here. The material is designed to get softer with each wash, and even feels different with each night’s sleep. Also, the routine where you try to endlessly attach your sheets to your bed, only to fuss and shift a hundred times is obsolete. These sheets come with a little label on the bottom right corner to help minimize frustration. And it works.
For my breakfast in bed with Bedface I tried baking a blueberry buttermilk breakfast cake. Not just because I love alliteration, but I was also inspired after seeing this pinterest-worthy creation on Alexandra’s Kitchen. Mine of course didn’t look quite as pinnable, but it sure was tasty.
