Bellinis, Bongo, Kardashian Kollection, Kicking new Fall '12 styles into Gear- The SearsStyle Blogger Brunch

A few days ago, I posted on my excitement, as I prepared to attend the SearsStyle Blogger Brunch for #NYFW12

I perused the Sears online site, flagging some striped tops from the Kardashian Kollection, and even a cute colored skirt from the Bongo line that I loved. Though my online order didn’t quite deliver with the quickness I expected it to, I figured second best was not as bad, so I put together something in that same vein; similar look and affordable fashion and made my way to Little West 12th.

Bagatelle had transformed into the Sears #searsStyle showroom, displaying a colorful rainbow of colored jeans from an array of designers, and showcasing the new fall ’12 trends. I felt like Goldilocks, sifting through the new jeans, and at the excitement of being told I could pick out my own pair of jeans, I moved past too big, too small, too colorful, not colorful enough, and then eventually, just right.

I settled on a pair of Hunter green skinny jeans; fitting since it’s one of the hottest colors for fall, although my eye did wander for a while. There was an array of color, clearly illustrating that colored jeans have major staying power. However, there have been slight addendums to the trend, in the way of metallics, sheen, and shape.

My journey then took me around the rest of the room, as I landed on a rack filled with fun tops, and jackets. On the mannequins behind me a few Kardashian Kollection styles were displayed, most notably, a fun, fur vest, and my standout piece of the collection; a geometric print, long sleeve fish tail dress. The fish tail style made it trendy, but the print had a staying power to it, and it would be a perfect addition to my fall wardrobe. Even more perfect with a little black leather jacket thrown over it.

I munched on roasted potatoes and truffle eggs, sipping on Bellinis while shopping the fall trends; at the same time getting my own ideas for mixing and matching for that perfect, fall, affordable fashion. Sears has some great pieces that I want to add to my fall wardrobe, but for now, I have to work on planning how I will rock my new green, skinny jeans.

In the end, it was a fabulous day. I got a new pair of jeans, perused some amazing fall Sears styles, made a few new friends, and got to meet the head designer of the Kardashian Kollection, Bruno Schiavi. He made a special appearance and gave away a special opportunity to meet the Kardashian girls at their next in store appearance.

Okay, so I didn’t win that prize, but I left there well fed, with new jeans, and a smile on my face. And that is prize enough for me.
