Fall is the most elusive of seasons. It comes and goes so fast we barely see it there. And yet, there are tiny, little ways to make it last. Or at least, make it feel that way indoors. And who says certain rules are regulated to only certain holidays. People keep decorations, and their trees up way past the Christmas mark, so in that vein, I think it’s okay to keep a pumpkin around just a little bit longer. Sure its getting colder out, the sweaters are getting excited to show their face, and you’ve switched back to hot coffee. But fall is still very much here, for a little while, at least, so why not enjoy it while it lasts. Here are 5 very simple, affordable home decor ideas to make fall last just a little bit longer.
1. Add a pumpkin. I love certain traditions, especially fall season pumpkin picking. So whats wrong with keeping up yours just a little bit longer. I added mine to my book display for a little extra fall flair to make me happy every time I walk in the room.
2. Put out Fall Flowers.
3.Keep some seasonal candies out. I know there has been a bit of a backlash with the beloved and loved to be hated pumpkin spice flavors. Or maybe it’s just its infiltration of literally everything. But lately, I’ve been obsessed with the Pumpkin spice Hersheys kisses.
4. Keep Apples out and on Display.
5. Bake with apples, or pumpkins. Or both. I know I’ve mentioned this a few times already, but I’m still excited that I baked something, and that it actually came out super delicious! Seeing as it got rave reviews, and kept our home feeling particularly fall-ish, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try my hand at some other recipes that are just too perfect for the short lived season. Try some for yourself, and see how good your kitchen will smell for days afterwards. Get the recipe here.
